Riding the Front

The gyrfalcon is a formidable avian predator in the High Arctic.  It is capable of capturing ptarmigan and waterfowl in mid-flight.  The falcon appears as a white ghostly figure.  The curve of its wing mimics the front edge of the storm cloud.
